Pioneering researcher and internationally recognized expert in heterogeneous catalysis Umit Ozkan has often been the first woman in chemical engineering to be recognized for her accomplishments. In her latest achievement, she became the first woman in the 53-year history of the American Chemical Society’s Energy and Fuels Division to receive the Henry H. Storch Award. Ozkan also will be honored with a special two-day symposium at the American Chemical Society National Meeting in August in Washington, D.C.
